Check out the new county Alliance website at www.slcmsaweb.org. The SLCMSA President, Kris Doing-Harris has gotten this up and running. Looks great! Kris grew up near Dayton, Ohio. She began her impressive education at the U. of Miami, then studied abroad at the U. of Glasgow in Scotland, later transferring to Glasgow U. She was able to obtain MS degrees in information technology and psychology and a PhD in Cognitive Modeling. She recently completed a BS in Computer Science at the U of U. Kris met her husband Mark in Glasgow, and they were married in both the US and Scotland. Mark got his MD in Scotland. Kris's brother was a resident at the U of U and was instrumental in Mark's decision to do a transitional year in internal medicine there as well as a residency in anesthesiology. He is now an Associate Professsor at the U of U Medical School. Kris and Mark have two daughters, who keep Kris very busy, but she is also able to enjoy playing the piano, reading, cooking, and working out. This will be Kris's second year as the Salt Lake County Alliance president, and she would like to continue to focus on expanding membership. Kris's many talents have helped our Alliance. While in residency and as a member of Partners in Medicine, she helped develop their website and put their "lucrative real estate business" on the web.
