WASHINGTON COUNTY

Kellie Lemon grew up in Long Beach and Huntington Beach, California. She received her undergraduate degree in child development from Long Beach State U, after which she taught mainstream and special needs children for seven years.

She met her husband Robert in high school, and during their almost 30 years of marriage, together they have gone thrugh undergraduate school, medical school at UC Irvine, residency at Loma Linda, and a fellowship at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla. They now live in St. George, where Robert was hired by IHC to set up a cancer clinic. They are looking forward to July when a second oncologist will join them.

Kellie and Robert have three biological children and two adopted daughters from Pavlador, Kazakstan. She enjoys being home with her children and being involved in their lives. She also enjoys running and singing. She received professional vocal training in Pallm Springs and studied Italian arias. Although they enjoy Utah, the Lemons often make the pilgrimage back to their Southern California homeland.

Kellie is serving a second year as the Washigton County President. This year she and her board will focus on community awareness of substance abuse in Washington County. She sees a great need in their area for this important health promotion project.
