President of Weber County Medical Society Alliance this year is Kathleen Alder. Kathleen reported that Weber County is supporting Screen Out! and childhood obesity awareness. The Alliance meets monthly with the Weber County Medical Society in order to become a more effective team. Kathleen highly recommends each county do the same. Their Hospitality Brunch went well, with great bonding, good food, and lots of work accomplished. A tree they donated to the Christmas Tree Jubilee was sold for $2500. Heartbeats have continnued to sing across the county to great success. Nellie No No will start up again this month. Nellie is teaching first graders how to deal with bullies. The county will support our Day at the Legislature February 6. March brings with it an Italian themed cooking school, Over 50 volunteers will present Our Friend the Hospital, and the Doctor's Day Dinner and essay contest winner will be on March 28th. Lyle Archibald will be honored as the Weber County Doctor of the Year. The entire board will be staying on in their positions another year, so a "reinstallation" luncheon will be held in April.
